Conference week
Very early Tuesday morning, Kristen and I headed to Windsor, Ontario for the Lake Erie Millenium Network Conference. So, all day Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning we spent listening to various presentations while sitting in the most uncomfortable chairs ever made. Some of the presentations were fairly interesting, but some were also very boring. Basically conferences just make you fat. You sit around all day while they feed you to keep you happy.
Our experiences with Canadian takeout weren't so great. We had the worst chinese ever. It was as if they soaked the noodles and vegitables in oil and dumped into the box. It was horrible. It had no taste what so ever, and we felt so gross after just eating a couple of bites. Needless to say, we didn't eat much. The night after that, we tried ordering a pizza. It took longer than ordering a pizza ever should. The first number didn't work. The 2nd didn't deliver to us. The third, that number didn't work either. Finally, we got a place that delivered to our hotel. And even that took a couple of call backs to get everything figured out. It was ridiculous. But at least the pizza was good.
Anyway, now I'm house/dog sitting for Tom. The dog, Randi, is a cutie, and the house is nice. But really, I really miss my Radar, and am generally just kind of homesick. I really miss Steven, and I just really need a hug. Especially after today, which wan't that great. Its amazing how lonely I feel without Radar around. I generally just feel aweful, and I can't wait to get home again to be with my family and friends.
Anyway, I think its time for bed. One more day. Just one more.
